I am actually, by nature, the type of person who generally ignores world events and have, up until recently had the thought that someone would will fix the problem.

And its become VERY clear to me that I need to take responsibility for my families physical and financial future and its just simply the responsible thing to do to keep myself informed on what's happening "behind the scenes".

We know that when currencies collapse, and markets crash that this is what is known as a "wealth shift" and that people "in the know" stand to make fortunes, but MOST people will LOSE fortunes because they have not been informed!

Put VERY simply, if you are left holding paper money when a currency collapses then you are on the WRONG side of the financial ledger, and like MOST people, you will lose!

The governments of the world KNOW that the collapse has to happen, but they don't want YOU to know and they want to make it as palatable as possible so there are not mass revolts or riots, and so what they are doing is boiling you like a frog.. and trying to make the transition as invisible as possible.

Most of you will not know that 205 countries have agreed to a "global currency reset" in January 2014..... this is supposed to be our "saviour" but in effect its just the thin edge of the wedge and the first step to the full collapse of the USD.

As of next year the USD will no longer be the reserve currency of the world!

Educate yourself before it is too late

I can not stress this enough.  Economists, preachers, historians, everyday people....If they have their eyes open they will all tell you the same thing.  Things are bad and going to get worse very very soon.  What are you doing to prepare for yourself, your family, your friends? 

Are you paying attention or do you think it is all going to go away?  Do you know that China now owns most of the gold on the planet and that the only thing the USA has is a lot of debt that no one wants to buy anymore?

Do you know that the "smart" electric meters installed at your homes are not just for reading your electrical usage?  Were you paying attention when Poland stole 50% of its populations pensions?
Do you know that the USA will be doing the same thing sooner than you think?  They have to, the government is broke and it has to take your money to get out of the hole it has dug for itself.  But it will not be enough.  The banks will eventually close - are you prepared for that?

Don't be an ostrich.  Protect yourself!  How?

Buy gold and silver - a much and as quickly as possible.  Get rid of that smart meter - tell your electric company you don't want it! 

Educate yourself - read, listen, research.

Start a conversation!

I come across so many people who do not understand that in order to be successful you need to be personable.  Think of it this way.  If you went to buy a new car and the salesman never spoke a word to you but instead just shoved a sales contract at you would you buy a car from him?  Of course not.

Conversation is important.  Getting to know someone's interests, likes, and dislikes and sharing yours with them is an important part of relationship building.  You can advertise all day long and may even get many leads from that advertising, but if you are not willing to build a relationship you will have little or no conversions.  Without conversions you will not succeed.

Don't be afraid to give out your email address, your Skype contact info, or your phone number to someone who has shown interest in your ads.  Get them talking, see what they are looking for, and what they will do to get what they want.  Shoving a URL at them will only push them away usually.
Videos and pictures are great tools, but try a little real conversation.  You might be surprised at the outcome.

Tis the season....

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, crowds, traffic jams, disgruntled workers, impatient customers, and everything else you can throw into the mix.  Sometimes you need to just take a step backward, take a deep breath, and focus on what is important.  If you are an online marketer you may be distracted by all the new programs with their shiny bows and "OTO" offers.  Maybe you have been putting off doing that video or placing that ad while you play that game on facebook or maybe you are discouraged because your last ad didn't bring in the leads like you thought it would.  You need to remember that people have to see something a number of times before they take action so even though you haven't gotten a lead yet keep trying.  Give them a way to bookmark your page so that if they are too busy with the holidays they have a way to come back to it.  Better yet - make a capture page letting them know that you can remind them to take another look in January.  It's not a normal way of marketing but you never know.... Someone might appreciate the fact that you understand!

Today is all about FOCUS

It is so easy to lose focus, especially this time of the year.  We are bombarded with advertising both online and offline.  Whether it is in our email, our actual mail boxes, phone promotions, or even store flyers...It all looks great but it takes away our Focus.  Stores promising us the lowest prices, emails promising us instant success, and with each thing we move one step away from what we should be doing.  FOCUS!  Put on your blinders if you must but if you want to succeed you have to FOCUS!

Giving My TE a new lease on life

This is about advertising.  There are several forms of advertising.  Free or paid, solo ads, text ads, ppc, traffic exchanges. . .

Traffic Exchanges - yes I own one, and as I mentioned in a previous post they have turned from being a good source of free advertising to becoming a big waste of time if you are serious about the business you are trying to advertise.  So, as of January 1st 2014 I am going to do the unthinkable in the traffic exchange world.  In Magic Garden Surf there will be no advertising allowed for  other traffic exchanges.  I am reminded of an old saying,  but I will reword it just a bit.  Does Macy's let Bloomingdale's advertise in their store?  I think not!

MGS will be a traffic exchange where you can view adds for other opportunities advertised by either the owner of that opportunity, or by affiliates of that opportunity.  You can come and view other opportunities and build up credits to show your own opportunity or affiliate page.  More info to follow but I have just deleted over 250 members from the site.  I am going back to the basic reason that traffic exchanges were invented.  Not for people to earn pennies by clicking all day and not by other traffic exchanges to have their members advertise for them.

January 1st it all changes, hopefully other exchanges will follow!

Being thankful

The turkey dinner is great and I love to cook.  Thanksgiving means much more to me than just the cranberry sauce, home made sausage stuffing, green bean casserole, and of course the pumpkin and apple pies.  It is a time to be with family, to share an unhurried day with your loved ones.  It can mean helping a family have that turkey dinner that they wouldn't be able to afford on their own.  It means being thankful for what you have... family, friends, health, happiness, comforts.  Being thankful is what it is all about and giving others something to be thankful for.  Hope, a smile, a meal, a warm coat, but on top of that,  something that can change their lives.  Show them, teach them, help them.  If you have been reading my blog you have the tool.  Go out there and give another family something to be thankful for.

Your comfort zone will hold you back

I have written several times here and when coaching people that we all need to step out of our comfort zone a bit if we want to move ahead.  Take baby steps if you must but just do it.  This month I am practicing what I have been preaching.  I got out there and met new people.  I was on the other side of the camera, actually in the picture. Now I am working on a video.  It won't win me any rewards but it will be me.  Isn't that what people really want to see anyway?  There won't be any yachts or mansions.  No need for hype or pretense.  Approaching 60 I am no beauty queen but I am comfortable with my inner self and I believe that is more important.  I have a message for the world and even though I am not comfortable doing a video I need to do it.  Stay tuned . . .  :)

Why do they do it?

Did you use bogus info on the form you just filled out?  The person who put that ad out there spent time, money, and a lot of thought to get that message out there.  You spent a few seconds to fill in a fake email address.  What did you get from it?  Did you ever stop to think that you could have gained more by using a good email address?  Maybe you missed some really important info.  Maybe you just missed out on the perfect opportunity or business idea.  Maybe you just like to fill out forms . . .

Next time you come across an ad that looks interesting and there is a form to fill out think about what you might be missing out on when you fill in that fake email address.  You can always unsubscribe if you find it is not for you, but if you use a fake email address how will you ever know for sure?

Let me explain what that means to me.

So many network marketers blame having a bad sponsor when they don't succeed in their online business. 

Is it the sponsor's fault that you do not work toward your goals?  Even if your sponsor doesn't communicate well, isn't it up to you to get the information you need if you really want to succeed?

A great team and a great up-line is very helpful but the lack of those is not a reason to quit.  Get in touch with your sponsors sponsor - contact a team leader - do whatever it takes to make it work, but don't expect anyone to do YOUR work.

When people hear "Work from home"  they sometimes forget the word "Work".  It is a job and with hard work and a little luck you can earn a nice living without commuting to a JOB.  If you were at the office and didn't know what to do because your immediate boss didn't tell you, would you just sit there day after day?  No you wouldn't because if you did you wouldn't have that job for very long.

Reach out and get the info you need to succeed, even if it takes some work.

The good, the bad, and the ugly

Working from home can be awesome or it can be a disaster.  Many factors can make you or break you so you need to be aware of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

What's good?  Getting involved with a solid company that has a real product that everyone wants. 
What's bad?  A company with no product or a product that no one wants or needs and lacks a good customer service department.
What's ugly?  A site that promises to make you a millionaire by tomorrow with a magic button or other nonsense. The only one getting rich is the person selling you that magic button.

Forming Bonds of Friendship

Words cannot describe the feeling of belonging to something bigger than just an online opportunity. company, or organization.  We went to Nashville as business associates and left there as a big close knit family.  Cherylanne Gober did such a great job or organizing this event. I have decided to go back to Nashville in the next few months just enjoy the culture, and of course visit my new family!
As with any family gathering there is always plenty to talk about when you get back home and of course lots of good memories!

Nashville Celebration

What an amazing weekend I had!  So where was I and why was it so amazing?  My husband and I spent 4 days in Nashville, Tennessee as part of the Karatbars International Celebration.  It was an amazing experience like nothing I have ever experienced before.  The positive energy was flowing from everywhere and we were all truly moved by a strong sense of family.  I feel blessed that I was able to connect with not only my sponsor and mentors but with so many wonderful people.  There was no hype or hard selling, but instead friendships were formed that I am sure will bind us together for a very very long time.  From the owner, Mr. Harald Seiz, to the newest affiliates, there was a sense of sharing and of a deep caring for every person who attended.  I will be adding more all week about this spectacular event.

Know the Rules BEFORE you Join!

Different companies have different rules and you should make sure you know those rules before joining.  Some companies allow you to have multiple accounts while others will ban you for having more than one.  Some allow a personal account and a business account.  Some only allow one membership per household or IP Address.  Some companies allow you to open custodial accounts for your children.  Do not take the chance of losing an account or multiple accounts because you didn't read the rules!  In most cases refunds are not available so read first.

The "coming economic collapse" has already been happening.  You see, the truth is that the economic collapse is not a single event.  It has already started, it is happening right now, and it will accelerate during the years ahead.  The statistics in this article show very clearly that the U.S. economy has fallen dramatically over the past ten years or so.  Unfortunately, there are lots of mockers out there that love to mock the idea of an economic collapse even though one is happening right in front of our eyes.
They love to say stuff like this (and I am paraphrasing):

"An economic collapse is never going to happen.  We can consume far more wealth than we produce forever.  We can pile up gigantic mountains of debt forever.  There is no way that the party is over.  In fact, the party is just getting started.  Woo-hoo!"

That sounds absolutely ridiculous, but "economists" and "journalists" actually write things that reflect these kinds of sentiments every single day.
They do not seem alarmed about the fact that our national debt is nearly 17 times larger than it was 30 years ago.  They do not seem alarmed about the fact that the total amount of debt in our country is more than 28 times larger than it was 40 years ago.  They do not seem alarmed about the fact that our economic infrastructure is being absolutely gutted and we are steadily becoming poorer as a nation.
They just think that the magic formula of print, borrow, spend and consume can go on indefinitely. 
Unfortunately, the truth is that a massive economic disaster has already started to unfold.  We inherited the greatest economic machine in the history of the world, but we totally wrecked it.  We have been able to live far, far beyond our means for the last couple of decades thanks to the greatest debt bubble in the history of the planet, but now that debt bubble is getting ready to burst.
Anyone with half a brain should be able to see what is coming.  Just open your eyes and look at the facts.  The following are 40 stats that prove the U.S. economy has already been collapsing over the past decade...
#1 According to the World Bank, U.S. GDP accounted for 31.8 percent of all global economic activity in 2001.  That number dropped to 21.6 percent in 2011.
#2 The United States was once ranked #1 in the world in GDP per capita.  Today we have slipped to #14
. #3 The United States has fallen in the global economic competitiveness rankings compiled by the World Economic Forum for four years in a row.
#4 Since the year 2000, the size of the U.S. national debt has grown by more than 11 trillion dollars.
#5 Back in the year 2000, our trade deficit with China was 83 billion dollars.  Last year, it was 315 billion dollars.
#6 In the year 2000, about 17 million Americans were employed in manufacturing.  Today, only about 12 million Americans are employed in manufacturing.
#7 The United States has lost more than 56,000 manufacturing facilities since 2001.
#8 The United States has lost a staggering 32 percent of its manufacturing jobs since the year 2000.
#9 Between December 2000 and December 2010, 38 percent of the manufacturing jobs in Ohio were lost, 42 percent of the manufacturing jobs in North Carolina were lost and 48 percent of the manufacturing jobs in Michigan were lost.
#10 Back in 1998, the United States had 25 percent of the world’s high-tech export market and China had just 10 percent. Today, China’s high-tech exports are more than twice the size of U.S. high-tech exports.
#11 In 2002, the United States had a trade deficit in "advanced technology products" of $16 billion with the rest of the world.  In 2010, that number skyrocketed to $82 billion.
#12 The United States has lost more than a quarter of all of its high-tech manufacturing jobs since the year 2000.
#13 The number of full-time workers in the United States is nearly 6 million below the old record that was set back in 2007.
#14 The average duration of unemployment in the United States is nearly three times as long as it was back in the year 2000.
#15 Throughout the year 2000, more than 64 percent of all working age Americans had a job.  Today, only 58.7 percent of all working age Americans have a job.
#16 The official unemployment rate has been at 7.5 percent or higher for 54 months in a row.  That is the longest stretch in U.S. history.
#17 The U.S. government says that the number of Americans "not in the labor force" rose by 17.9 million between 2000 and 2011.  During the entire decade of the 1980s, the number of Americans "not in the labor force" rose by only 1.7 million.
#18 The average number of hours worked per employed person per year has fallen by about 100 since the year 2000.
#19 The U.S. economy continues to trade good paying jobs for low paying jobs.  60 percent of the jobs lost during the last recession were mid-wage jobs, but 58 percent of the jobs created since then have been low wage jobs.
#20 The U.S. economy lost more than 220,000 small businesses during the recent recession.
#21 The percentage of Americans that are self-employed has steadily declined over the past decade and is now at an all-time low.
#22 According to economist Tim Kane, the following is how the number of startup jobs per 1000 Americans breaks down by presidential administration...

#23 In the year 2000, there were only 17 million Americans on food stamps.  Today, there are more than 47 million Americans on food stamps.

#25 Since Barack Obama entered the White House, the average price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States has risen from $1.85 to $3.64.
#26 More than twice as many new homes were sold in the United States in 2005 as will be sold in 2013.
#27 Right now there are 20.2 million Americans that spend more than half of their incomes on housing.  That represents a 46 percent increase from 2001.

#33 Back in the year 2000, the mortgage delinquency rate was about 2 percent.  Today, it is nearly 10 percent.
#34 Median household income for families with children dropped by a whopping $6,300 between 2001 and 2011.
#35 Back in 2007, about 28 percent of all working families were considered to be among "the working poor".  Today, that number is up to 32 percent even though our politicians tell us that the economy is supposedly recovering.
#36 According to the Federal Reserve, the median net worth of families in the United States declined "from $126,400 in 2007 to $77,300 in 2010".
#37 According to the New York Times, the average debt burden for U.S. households that earn $20,000 a year or less "more than doubled to $26,000 between 2001 and 2010".
#38 Medicare spending increased by 138 percent between 1999 and 2010.
#39 During Obama's first term, the federal government accumulated more debt than it did under the first 42 U.S presidents combined.
#40 Today, more than a million public school students in the United States are homeless.  This is the first time that has ever happened in our history.  That number has risen by 57 percent since the 2006-2007 school year.

Isn't it time we all wake up and see that the US Dollar is failing?  I am trading in my paper for gold.

Focus on the solution, not the problem.

Respect your sponsors time

A good sponsor helps their downline but remember that they are trying to build a business and if they are willing to help you then show some respect and focus when they are working with you.  I have spent many hours trying to help people and many of those same people were playing Candy Crush, chatting with others, watching TV, etc. while I was spending my time trying to couch them.  Focus on what you are doing if you want to benefit from the experience and knowledge of your upline.

A New Year

No it is not New Years Day, it is my birthday.  It is when I reevaluate my decisions over the past year and set my path for the upcoming year.  Some bridges must be burnt unfortunately but new bridges are built in their place.  The past year has been a financial roller coaster ride for me but I have learned so much.  I have also seen relationships grow weaker or stronger and some end all together.  As it may seem cold there are times when you have to cut ties with people who bring you down.  If you have ever watched lobsters in a tank you will understand.  Jealousy, superiority, unhealthy competition, gossip, and rudeness are not something I care to deal with.  I go into this new year of my life with optimism, good wishes for all to succeed, and an open mind so that I can learn new things every day.  There will always be stumbling blocks along our paths but I have decided to not wait for the storms to pass, I will just dance in the rain.  Happy Birthday to me!

Setting up a Capture Page

Once you have decided what Auto-responder program to use you need to start a campaign and then create or import an email series and create a capture page. 

Capture pages can range from very plain with a few simple words to something very fancy including videos, etc.

Think about where you will advertise this page.  If you are paying for advertising and each view is a certain length of time be sure the reader can view your page in the time allotted.  In a typical traffic exchange you have 10 seconds or less to get your message across so keep it eye catching but quick to read.

Be sure you put an action in your capture page like click here or join here with an arrow showing them where to sign up for your list.  It may seem obvious to you but it doesn't hurt to emphasize the action needed.

Where should you advertise?

I would like to discuss traffic exchanges today.  I own one but I see their shortcomings.  The original idea behind a traffic exchange was to exchange views - I will look at your site if you look at mine. 

Unfortunately the traffic exchange industry has turned into a clicking society that only cares about getting people to join other traffic exchanges or earning a few pennies per day.

It is said that if someone sees a site enough times they will eventually click on it and maybe take action such as joining a site or filling in a capture form.  I believe that the site must appeal to them in some way, must draw their attention to it.  There are so many sites out there that I think it is good for your site to be unique, eye catching, and short and to the point.  A traffic exchange shows a page for a few seconds and then it is on to the next site.  You have a few seconds to have the view read what you have to say.  Keep it simple and easy to read.  You can go in to detail in your emails if you are using a capture page.  A splash or banner can direct the user to another page or the actual affiliate link.
Again, keep the splash or capture page simple and easy to ready, you only have a few seconds to grab that viewer!

I was told a story when I was very young but remember it and live by the lesson it taught still.

The story told of two groups of people sitting at a long dining table.  All the people had large spoons tied to their arms keeping them from being able to bend their elbows and feed themselves.  At one table the people ended up starving even though the table was full of wonderful food, because they only wanted to feed themselves and would not help anyone else.  At the other table each person fed the person across from them and all ate well.

Don't waste your energy on making excuses

Many people will spend hours, days, weeks, or even years making excuses for why they cannot do something.  If they spent 1 percent of that energy and put it toward finding a way to get something done they would be so much better off than they are now.

They don't have the time, the money, the knowledge........

Translated that all means they just don't want it bad enough.

You will never find the time to do anything - you must make the time.

You will never have extra spending money - there is no such thing, we always find something that needs to be paid for but if you want something bad enough you find the money to make it happen.

Knowledge is just taking the time and/or money to learn how to do something.

So stop the excuses and make it happen.

Another HYIP having problems

Keeping it Simple

As time goes by you may see fewer and fewer programs listed here. It is not always because a program is bad in any way although sometimes a program does fall short even after a long success.

You can spread yourself too thin when promoting opportunities.  Don't put all your eggs in one basket but don't be a program junkie either.  Pick a a few programs that you believe in and don't waste time promoting much more.

Watch out for the Scams

Unfortunately there are Admin who just intentionally scam their members.  A good example of this is LiberForex.  Even when the site was already in trouble they tried to get more money out of their members claiming that they would do payouts once their members paid a high yearly membership fee.  Now months after the site closed  they are  posting in their Skype rooms that former members should send them $50 through STP or EgoPay if the want refunds.  They are claiming that the $50 is for wire fees....
The truth is that their funds have been frozen in both payment processors.  Don't fall for these type of tactics.  If you lost money in LiberForex or any other program - I strongly suggest that you DO NOT send them more money.  Go into a program knowing there is a risk.  Pick yourself up and move on if the program fails.  An honest Admin will communicate with their members explaining the problems and try to refund what they can.  A dishonest Admin will try to squeeze every penny from their members before disappearing.

Transparency & Honesty

An honest Admin is transparent.  There should be good contact information listed on the site.  A real address, a real phone number.  Communication should be available through support tickets, Skype, phone, and/or mail.  Your upline should also be transparent and honest, not making false claims to get you to join, but actually caring about how you will do.  Get to know the person that will sponsor you in any program.  And likewise, get to know someone that you would like to sponsor.  Don't be afraid to ask questions before joining something and be sure you know the answers or can get the answers for your downline.

No matter how carefully we do our due diligence, we must remember that we take risks and I can not repeat enough that you should not trade in your retirement fund or take food from your table just to join a program.  Please remember that there are some good honest Admins and some who are not so honest.  Always make sure you can get in contact with an Admin or support team before putting money into any program.  If they do not answer you before there is a problem you can be certain it will get worse if a problem does arise.  Keep in mind that it can take a day or three to get an answer if it is a large site.  Keep support tickets simple keeping them to one issue at a time if possible.

Launches To Watch For

There are a few sites that have recently launched or will be launching this month and look to be very promising. 
UTS Profit Ads promises to launch on July 30th.  So far I am very impressed with this site and the way the administration keeps communications open with its members.  Before launch and while in beta testing we are able to click on link ads earning once cent per click and they have taken measures to make sure that cheaters will not prosper.  They are getting all the kinks out which I find commendable.
Wunev Assets also has a very open admin keeping us abreast of all issues and the resolution of those issues.  The Admin, Nicolasina Van Litsenburg, gives out her Skype ID in all correspondence and is happy to help members.  I have spoken to her and she has offered to join any Skype room that is created for Wunev members.

Don't Be Shy

When trying to refer for a business that you are involved in, don't prejudge.  Many times we shy away from showing someone an opportunity thinking they might not be interested or might not be able to afford to join.  They may surprise you!
If you have a good feeling about an opportunity and you believe in it don't be afraid to share it.  Make a list of the people you know and think about how the business can help them.  Present it to them when they have the time to listen and can give you full attention.  Don't oversell, but have your facts available and explain to them why you like the program.  Give it a try, you just might be surprised.

What is it worth?

Some people are under the impression that they should not have to pay for services that help their business or list grow.  Would they go to a job every day and not expect a paycheck?  Of course not!  There are many legitimate businesses online and the people who are supplying a service deserve to charge for those services.  Whether it be graphics, hosting, email services, rotator services, video services, or anything else used by the online marketing industry... Payment for those services is part of the territory.  Comparison shopping is fine, but free is not always the way to go.  If you want a professional outcome expect to pay for it, and remember that it is a business expense.

Alert Pay Invest

Alert Pay Invest opened on Nov 25, 2012.  Although the site seems okay there are some things to watch out for.  First, make sure you choose the correct plan.  The site defaults to the Liberty Reserve Plan and the will not change it for you once you submit your spend.  If you choose the Liberty Reserve and invest you will not get paid.  Choose the processor you are going to spend from.   They pay Mondays through Fridays.  If you are not seeing anything in your earnings history send a support ticket. There is a language issue but they do respond and get things fixed.  I recommend a small invest to try it before spending large amounts.  Don't forget to choose your plan carefully.  The link is on the tool bar above.
